cyrus-lmtp not listening keywords : cyrus imapd lmtp lmtpd 2003 On a fresh installed system my cyrus-imapd refused to listen on port 2003 = lmtp although I explicitely enabled it in cyrus.conf and did not forget to restart the master-process !! solution: lmtp was not registered at port 2003 in /etc/services This i crude !! serial : 424 If you found any nonsense in this entry or want to see important improvements, I would appreatiate to receive your comments at knowledge@goldfisch.at disclaimer : all these entries are part of my very private knowledgebase that I created while solving problems.
