ubuntu : vpn add is greyed out in network-manager keywords : karmic 9.10 grey cannot add vpn disabled not available In default-installation of ubuntu 9.10 karmic the network-manager does not allow you to create VPN's cause the add-button is not available. you have to install the following packages: apt-get install network-manager-pptp network-manager-vpnc network-manager-openvpn serial : 457 If you found any nonsense in this entry or want to see important improvements, I would appreatiate to receive your comments at knowledge@goldfisch.at disclaimer : all these entries are part of my very private knowledgebase that I created while solving problems.
