Keyboardtrouble with vmware on ubuntu

Its a old story that started in ubuntu8 and isnt resolved by ubuntu 9.10 - accessing a VM (virtual machine) from a ubuntu-client will cause you pain with the keyboard. Cursor will not work or shift or whatever. The solution is very simple:

edit/create the following file:

~/.vmware/config

and add the following line:

xkeymap.nokeycodeMap = true

Then restart your client and ... voila :)
